Unreal 5.5 support for Cargo

Hi, just checking in again on whether there is an ETA for UE 5.5+? I'm curious what the technical challenge is with getting Cargo to work with 5.5, would you mind sharing? I always like to learn, and who knows, maybe the community can assist.

If anyone needs to urgently get Cargo assets working in 5.5:
For me, Cargo assets work just fine, except that the Cargo Master materials reference texture assets in the Plugins dir, which at the time of writing does not load since the plugin is not yet available for UE 5.5. This is actually a mistake by Cargo, because the textures that are referenced are actually copied to the game directory under Content/Cargo/Materials/Master (yet they point to the plugin content versions).
Steps to fix: Just open up the failing master materials M_KB3D_Master_Masked, M_KB3D_Master_Standard, M_KB3D_Master_Translucent, M_KB3D_Master_Transparency and set all textures accordingly, as shown for one of the materials in this video. You can easily tell which texture needs to go where since the missing textures are all in a named parameter.

Nimai Jaswal: Hey there! I wanted to share that if you're looking to purchase Kits from kitbash3d.com, those Kits are ok to go in UE 5.5 if you're downloading the full Kit from kitbash3d.com.
UE 5.5 only affects our Kits if you're looking to import the Kits using Cargo, with Cargo's import function. But again, you're good to go if you're looking to purchase full Kits.

ath0rus yeah, I've been importing them into 5.4 and migrating them over. I had to re-add some of the textures in the master material though now I get a "material" error whenever I boot up the engine.

I got my subscription a month or so ago and so far I've not been able to use it in my main apps C4D 25 and Unreal 5.5. So feeling a bit meh. But I appreciate it must be hard to keep up with releases

I agree, I went to use 5.5 and I had to swap back to 5.4 as I am not wanting to spend the time it takes to import to 5.4 to then copy to 5.5 (and the texures may break)
